to success in business, especially when first starting out. We've had a passion for entrepreneurship for over twenty years. We see opportunities everywhere we go...it's a fun pass-time for us to analyze small businesses and talk about how to improve upon them. It's no wonder really, because that is the environment Justin was raised in. His father,
Rex Walker,
is also a great entrepreneur with several businesses. So Justin was raised in an entrepreneurial environment since he was born, and is grateful to his parents for that wonderful opportunity most kids never have. Since 1990 Justin has spent most of his time investing in real estate either to upgrade and resell or to use as rentals. He also has investments in small businesses run by our partners.
How Justin and Regina Walker Got Started...."Just GO For It!"
When we were first married, Justin wanted to be like his dad and become a millionaire entrepreneur overnight. But he had a wife and baby to take care of and no money to invest. It was important to him that he make it on his own...and not milk off his dad's success. That may or may not have been wise...but that is how he felt as a young man. However, Justin was also afraid of quiting his job and starting a business with money he didn't have.( He is extremely frugal and has always had a strong belief in not going into debt.)Well, one day a friend of ours, who owned his own business told me that he initially also had a fear of going out on his own in business, but his wife said to him, "Just GO for it!" Well, I told myself, "Regina Walker, you've got to let him know that you and the baby will be fine, and give him the OK to take the risk." So that night I told Justin, "Just GO for it! We may have to starve for awhile, but I KNOW we'll make it!" In those days we knew nothing about computers, much less the internet. I wish we knew then what we know now... So he charged on his credit card to invest in an inexpensive chimney-sweep kit, fliers, two top hats and tails, a work van, and sign painted on its side. "Spic and Span Chimneyman" with a man popping out of a chimney with his broom saying, "Soots me fine!" Then we went out together door-to-door in the rain dressed in our top hats, tails, and black umbrellas, knocking and handing homeowners our fliers advertising free chimney inspections. From those free inspections we booked enough chimney cleanings to pay off our credit card and eat. So began "Spic and Span Chimneyman". We busted our tails and within six years we had built it up to a year-round business with 4 full time work vans for chimney sweeping, chimney repairs and linings, and a fireplace store on the busiest street in town. We then began to slowly invest in older homes as we could afford them, and he would remodel them and either rent or sell them. Eventually we sold the chimneysweep business and woodstove store, and I stayed home with our kids, while Justin continued buying and fixing up homes to sell or rent. We also got into a well known multi-level marketing company which turned out to be a bad experience. We did not know in those days how to choose a stable,
five pillar company.
The Things Regina Walker loves Most
My children and boyfriend are my first passion. Yes, Justin and Regina Walker are still madly in love and dating...After that, I have a tremendous passion for finding newer and better ways to make money from home online. And since I have several children still home....7 to be exact, I need the simplest most efficient ways available. I made a decision when I was a girl to really ENJOY life. So I try hard to do the things I love most, and love the things I do. Being a work at home mom is one of the things that I love doing, so that is why I do it. I love meeting new people who are home business owners. I love learning from them any tips on building our home based businesses and making money online. I love sharing those tips with them in my newsletters...and I really appreciate the tips I get back from many of them. They are often extremely helpful to me...and if they are, I pass them on in my newsletter. I love sending out my newsletter, even though I don't do it too often. The reason is that it's exciting to me to send out information that I know my readers will be glad to get. I also really love helping people start or build their own home based businesses. I remember very well what it was like starting out...and I can relate well to the struggles of starting out. I don't only depend on Justin's and my experience, I depend heavily on the experience of our team of expert entrepreneurs and network marketers whom we credit much of our knowledge to. I built this website for the purpose of giving support to home business owners in general and most especially to my own team of network marketers. I love maintaining close relationships with people who join my team. It's amazing how much help I get from them. I couldn't do it without them....and I try to also be as helpful as possible. What else do I enjoy? Working out at the gym and tanning with my teenagers.Swimming in our lake, and playing with my younger kids. Watching my adults kids succeed in their own businesses.Dating my husband I've been married to for 26 years.Watching theater productions...especially those my own kids are in.Dancing,singing.Taking my kids to musical theater classes, martial arts, Boy Scouts, and sports. You can see that I'm a busy work at home mom....and I love it! As I look back over my list I look like the "LOVE" lady....Ha Ha! It's not that bad things never happen to me....stuff happens to us all, and sad, hard to handle things have happened to me... But I choose to pick up the pieces and be happy...and pick things to do that I love doing...that's all.
