Social Networking is Vital to Your Home Based Business

Let me tell you why

Social networking can do a tremendous amount of good to your business if you know what you're doing and are consistent. By getting out there in the forums, online communities, article directories and branding yourself, your business, or both you not online create many inbound links, but you make yourself known within your niche. If you take care to always provide much needed information with a pleasant, modest attitude people will learn to respect you as an expert in your field....not because you say you are, but because you are the one with great information and answers to questions.

When you join a forum remember the strategic posture you've chosen and focus on bringing out the impression you've previously decided to give to contacts in your social network.

As a researcher sharing quality information in your field of expertise you give a positive impression in the way that best serves the goals you’ve set for your home based business.

If your posture is to anxiously advertise and sell, you may damage yourself and only get a little attention from the curious, but miss out on establishing credibility and developing quality relationships of trust which build business.

So many individuals in online communities never pay much attention to helping out the newcomer by providing the helpful information needed, instead they spend their time introducing their opportunity and urging others to invest…rather than establishing credibility and trust.

You will stand out from other competitors by showing your concern and helpful attitude in helping beginners in the field.

Go out of your way to over inform and provide resources which are very helpful and needed in your niche.

This is a wonderful way to meet quality people who trust you and whom you can trust to help in building their business and yours. It is also a great way to multiply inbound traffic to your website. You don't need to advertise your site at all in these forums. Instead, focus on being helpful, especially to beginners, and if possible add your web address to your signature.

You did not try to sell anything nor did you ask for their business, all you did was ask what type of help or information they need and you went out of your way to provide that information.

This type of social networking will brand you as a leader in your niche, and your name will begin to show up here and there helping to establish you and your business by building traffic and credibility as a helpful leader to emulate.

This Internet marketing strategy takes time and perseverance, but social networking has the potential of building in-coming links to your site as well as traffic to your site or colleagues seeking out more information from you. You are also building relationships with quality leads in your niche. As you help them, you are building a good stable name for yourself in the field.

Once you are respected and trusted in your niche, your recommendations of helpful products or services will weigh heavily and many will follow your recommendations or duplicate you in building affiliate revenues.

Sites like MySpace and FaceBook are becoming solid Internet marketing tools. Setting up your profile page to advertise yourself and your business is wonderful free way to drive traffic to your website. Add links on your profile page to your websites, blogs and forums. Post copies of your articles, add product, business or associates’ photo albums, announce upcoming events and sales.

By providing excellent content to your sites and profiles you will attract friends, prospects and customers interested in your niche.

Your profile is also a great way to let your social networking friends know about any other businesses you may have, and to find venture partners or associates.

Blogging is of course another way to Increase Return Traffic to your Web Site. A web log, shortened to “blog”, is an online diary. It is simple to blog your newsletters or new content from your website with RSS feed.

A blog is a good place to share updates, trends, new developments, opinions, and to answer questions. Remember to keep it simple though.

Keep your blogs relevant to your theme. You will lose Search Engines relevancy points by writing on irrelevant topics to your theme. If your blog’s theme is PREselling natural health food, stick to topics concerning to health food, even if you do have a passion for fashion and would love to talk about those latest trends. Discussing other topics on your blog will only hurt your page-ranking score.

Keep your blog consistent with your posture and personality.

Remember to use your blog to cross promote your e-zine, and use your e-zine to cross promote your blog.

Your blog will keep your site fresh and if you put valuable relevant information in regularly you’ll cause people interested in your niche to return over and over to see what’s new.

There's more to social networking found in other Internet Marketing Strategies...many strategies are interlocked...as you will see...
